Description

The “BERNA” whisky was stored in the heart of the world heritage site of Bern’s old town. Near the Zytglogge under the arcades in Gerechtigkeitsgasse. In the vaulted cellar of the oldest dated town house, the Nägelihaus, built in 1531 by Bern’s Schultheiss Hans Franz Nägeli. Hans Franz Nägeli was born in Aigle in 1497 and liberated Vaud from the Savoyards in 1536 as a Bernese field captain.

The “BERNA” edition matures in ex-bourbon barrels and Pinot Noir barriques – a fusion of two worlds. A lovely whisky with a fine vanilla finish.

We bottled 303 bottles of 70cl each at 44% vol.
