THE ORMA PHILOSOPHY
TAKE TIME TO REFLECT
Take time, time for yourself and your precious life. Time for and with people who are important to you and with whom you want to share special moments.
Take time to explore and savour the soul of these fine whiskies. Close your eyes as the result of years of reflection meets your taste buds and the magic of memories with these special people is expressed in your mind.
ELEMENTS THAT TELL STORIES
ORMA is the Romansh word for soul and refers to the company’s Grisons roots. The two ibexes symbolise the two founders who brought ORMA Swiss Whisky Ltd to life out of their friendship. Based on an hourglass, which represents the finite nature of life, the ibexes also symbolise the duality of life – Ying & Yang.
As a tribute to time and the traditional Swiss art of watchmaking, the lettering contains elements of a watch. The letter R contains the clock hand. If the ORMA whisky bottle is turned through 180°, the Roman numeral 8 can be recognised, the same number that can be found in the symbol of the ibex. It is the lucky number that also stands for harmony, connection and perfection.
DEDICATE THE INFINITE MOMENT TO THE SPECIAL
Pouring an ORMA Swiss Whisky is a ritual of appreciation. Like turning an hourglass anti-clockwise, time is symbolically stopped. In this moment of pause, the infinite moment belongs entirely to the here and now, the special, the unique, oneself and the other person.
Let’s stop time for the precious moments so that they become infinite for us.
