How do we bring home and our terroir into the bottle? This question has moved us for several years and inspired us to create two special ORMA creations.

The Engadine, known for its pine and larch forests, which develop into a spectacular blaze of colour in autumn. Yes, when the pine forests are still lush green, the larches turn golden, the lakes glisten in dark blue and the crystal-clear mountain air makes the sugared mountain peaks appear close enough to touch.

We have dedicated the two ORMA editions “LARIX” and “IN LAIN” to this natural spectacle. These whiskies matured at the gates of the Swiss National Park in the impressive wooden warehouse of the Cadonau family’s IN LAIN wood manufactory in S-chanf. The casks are directly exposed to the harsh Engadine climate.

The ORMA “IN LAIN” experienced a cask finishing in Swiss stone pine wood and was thus able to imbibe a hint of its unmistakable unique fragrance.
