Description
Since 2014, ORMA whisky barrels have been resting in the cellars of Tarasp Castle. Pinot Noir barriques from the Bündner Herrschaft were used for maturation and because, in contrast to the Upper Engadine, apple trees grow in the Tarasp region, we decided on finishing in apple brandy barrels (Calvados).
The reign of the Tarasp family, who built the castle and gave it its name, came to an end in 1177 when Ulrich V died childless. As a tribute to this dynasty, we decided to bottle 177 bottles.
